A collection of promotional materials I designed fouild local art communities while supporting indie artists.
DESCRIPTION
Vancouver is home to a strong artist community, with events, exhibitions, and galleries hosted quite often. However, artists are struggling with making ends meet due to low visibility of their work despite Vancouverites expressing interest in attending these types of events. Thus, what if a centralized app existed to help Vancouverites be more aware of activities they can partake in to help support their local art scene?

When designing Artrium, we took into consideration user flows and interactions that would allow and encourage our audience to easily discover art-based events. Based on user interviews and research, major factors that increased event attendance were based off of distance, time, and social incentives.
Art allows us to feel connected to the communities around us, expand our worldview, and brighten our lives a little bit. While Vancouver has an active art community, our audience finds it difficult to find out about the latest art-related events and activities, regardless of medium or scale, and are either fairly isolated or exist in a small group of artists.
